Our January holiday classes will run from Monday 11 to Thursday 21 January at four venues; East Victoria Park, Kingsley, Piara Water and Nedlands. We have a Junior Artist program for 4 to 6 yrs, Creative Kids Program for 7 to 14 and one Art Club workshop for 9 to 14yrs.
Junior Artists (4-6yrs) 1 hour class $29
We are off to the farmyard with our fun chicken drawing and painting artwork. We will look at images of chickens in different poses and learn how to draw a farmyard scene using oil pastel. We will add colour to complete our artwork on A3 paper.

Turtle Painting on Canvas
Join us to paint a swimming turtle on canvas. Draw a turtle shape and learn how to add the head, tail, and flippers. We will use pattern to decorate the turtle shell and body on a recycled canvas.

Create this colourful ladybird artwork on paper. We will have lots of fun with different art processes to create this work. We will be cutting, pasting, painting, and using printmaking techniques to make our 3D ladybird on A4 green paper.

Andy Warhol Ice cream
Andy Warhol is a famous US artist known for his prints of Campbells soup cans. He also made prints of icecream cones! Join this colourful printmaking and collage class to create a fun summer artwork on A3 paper.

Blue Dog Painting
George Rodrigue is a US artist who painted the Blue Dog painting of his pet dog. We will be painting this fun artwork on A3 paper. We love the use of bright colours and kids can design their own artwork inspired by the artist.

Artwork on Canvas
One of our favourite projects with gorgeous results has been the stencil artwork on canvas. We are now offering this as a holiday class so your child can create a stunning work too! We will create an interesting background with a variety of painting techniques and then choose a stencil to complete the work on a recycled canvas.

Learn how to draw a colourful Peruvian Llama using pencil, oil pastel and watercolour paints. We will learn how to add fur texture and woollen tassel details using drawing materials. We have images of these decorated llamas from Peru for inspiration.

Art Club Workshop (9-14yrs) $59
Hand Printed Bags
Design and print your own artwork on a cotton bag. We will be using lino carving tools for this block printing project so the minimum age for this activity is 9yrs. We will talk about design, colour schemes and block placement to create a bespoke cotton bag. The bag is a generous 40 x 43cm at the widest point with a long, over the shoulder strap.

All materials are provided for all our 1hr Junior Artist classes and 2hr Creative Kids workshops. We have 4 locations in Perth with holiday classes. Art aprons are provided. Each class is taken by a fully qualified and experienced art teacher with a maximum of twelve students. Parents are not able to stay with their child at class. Our activities are planned by a professional artist and fully qualified and experienced primary school art teacher.
If a class is fully booked you can add your details to the waitlist and you will be notified if a place becomes available.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions children will be asked to use hand sanitiser upon arrival. High touch surfaces will be cleaned by our teachers with disinfectant wipes at all venues.
The age ranges for classes varies depending on the complexity of the subject matter and the degree of difficulty. Please only enrol your child if they are within the specified age range. Fine motor skills, manual dexterity and concept development have all been taken into account when determining the age range for each workshop. We want your child to have fun and to be able to succeed with their art endeavours!
